Share Foundation is a not for profit, privately funded, Christian organization. Our mission is to provide residential living, educational and vocational services, and support programs for other-abled adults in a peaceful and loving Midwestern community. We strive to accomplish this mission through recognizing, respecting, and providing for the uniqueness of each individual.

Walking through the grounds of Sharing Meadows, we are amazed at the many changes that have taken place since we purchased the land in 1991. From 185 acres of undeveloped farmland, the property has grown into a full community with roads, utilities, homes, a camp building, and acres of lush landscaping. More importantly, it has grown into a community where other-abled adults can learn new skills, grow to their full potential, and share their talents with others.

The success of Sharing Meadows, coupled with the increased demand for our services, has led us to expand our programs and initiate our first Capital Campaign. This campaign has a goal of $1.422 million to be raised over four years. This money will fund building construction, new programs, and future needs of the Foundation and Sharing Meadows via an Endowment Fund. A second capital campaign, Continuing the Dream, was started in 2004. This campaign has a goal of $1,645,000 to be raised over a four year period. The money raised in this campaign will fund construction of the thrid village, the guest house, and the fourth village. Also, the campaign will raise money for the endowment fund to provide for the future needs of the Share Foundation.

As we expand our programs to meet todays and future challenges, our Endowment Fund will provide a realistic way to ensure sufficient funds exist. Through this fund, only the interest earned on the principal will be tapped for expenditures, while the principle remains untouched. Your gift to the Endowment Fund will provide a gift over time and help to ensure the future of Sharing Meadows. Gifts can be in cash, checks, money orders, stocks, or other securities, and are tax deductible as provided by law. Be assured that your gift to the Endowment Fund will be a lasting one that funds our growth as bridge into the 21st century.

A guest house will be built that will have three guest rooms, each with a private bath as well as several rooms for community use. The guesthouse will allow families with an other-abled child to visit Sharing Meadows, interact with our Villagers and truly realize hope for their child's future. New methods will be sought to increase our ability to produce the products made at Sharing Meadows.

Over time, we will strive to increase our donor base and establish a national organization for non-profit organizations to share ideas, pool resources to purchase in bulk, and provide networking opportunities. We will also pave the roads of Sharing Meadows that lead to the villages and the office.
