By just taking a quick look at our web site, you can see that Sharing Meadows is a place like no other. It offers other abled adults the chance to live, grow and thrive in a community of respect and love amongst their peers.
One of the recent additions to the continuing expansion of Sharing Meadows is the Forcey Guest House. Completed and opened in the fall of 2005, the Guest House furthers SHARE Foundation’s mission of serving the needs of other abled individuals. The Guest House offers families of other abled children the opportunity to come and experience first hand the hope and joy that life has to offer other abled adults.
Situated in the heart of our 185 acre property and right next to beautiful Tucker Lake, the guest house has beautiful views and is near to the villages and the paths that wind through the property. Built for comfort, each of the three bedrooms in the guest house has a private full bath and sleeps up to three people. There is also a great room with a fireplace and plenty of room to relax after visiting the grounds or participating in the activities of the day. The fully equipped kitchen is available to be used and the Villagers will come to cook and serve breakfast each morning. The screen in porch adjacent to the kitchen is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, or to relax after a day at Sharing Meadows.
While you are visiting, your family can participate in the activities and work with the permanent residents of Sharing Meadows. You will be able to share in morning prayer, vocational training, lunch, and free time each day.
You will also have the chance to visit the villages, work shops, and grounds where the Villagers grow and thrive every day. You can interact with the Villagers and stewards whose lives have all been enriched by living in the community of Sharing Meadows. This opportunity will allow you to see the hope and possibilities available to your other abled child. In addition, you’ll have the chance to meet with Father Dennis Blaney, the founder and president of SHARE Foundation, or William Harmon, who is the Executive Director.
To check availability, rates and schedule your visit, call the SHARE Foundation office at 219-778-2585 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org. There is no minimum length of stay.
